Stakeholders Call for Peaceful Transition
The Kwara Progressive Media Organization (KPMO) has constituted a three-member Transition Committee to oversee the process leading to the election of new executives, following the successful completion of the two-year tenure of the incumbent leadership under the chairmanship of Moshood Beki.
The committee members are:
Comrade Adebayo Mukaila Kowope — Chairman (Kwara Central)
Yusuf Elijah — Secretary (Kwara North)
Gbenga Akintola — Treasurer (Kwara South)
The committee has been tasked with ensuring a transparent, credible, and peaceful electoral process. Members of the committee were also urged to remain diligent, neutral, and fair to all aspirants, while providing a level playing field for everyone seeking various positions within the organization.
Stakeholders of the organization have equally called on members to support the committee and maintain peace throughout the transition process.
Further details and modalities for the election are expected to be announced by the Transition Committee in due course.
