In a continued drive to improve agricultural productivity and promote rural development, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has extended its agricultural intervention to the Oke-Ode community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The initiative, which specifically supports Fulani farmers in the area, is a major part of the Foundation’s ongoing Empowering Farmers 2025 campaign—aimed at equipping local farmers with the tools and resources needed for sustainable farming.
During the outreach program, the MOK Foundation distributed a wide range of agricultural inputs, including high-quality fertilizers, pesticides, and handheld sprayers. These essential resources are expected to significantly improve farming efficiency, crop yield, and pest control, thus helping to strengthen food security across the region.
The distribution event attracted a large number of farmers, many of whom expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Foundation and its founder, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunola Kayode, for the continuous support. Beneficiaries shared stories of how previous interventions by the MOK Foundation had helped them expand their farms, increase productivity, and boost their household incomes.
Speaking during the event, a community elder and long-time farmer, Mallam Umar Isah, praised the Foundation for not only delivering resources but also for standing consistently with the grassroots farming population. “This is not the first time the MOK Foundation has come to our aid,” he said. “Their support is timely and always impactful. Today’s distribution will go a long way in helping us prepare for the new planting season.”
The MOK Foundation has gained a strong reputation for targeting underserved communities and marginalized farming populations, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most. According to Foundation representatives present at the event, the goal is to build resilient agricultural systems, empower local farmers, and contribute to economic development in Kwara State through inclusive and practical interventions.
This latest phase in Oke-Ode reflects the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development. Beyond material support, the Empowering Farmers 2025 campaign also includes training programs and workshops focused on modern farming techniques, sustainability, and agribusiness development.
Alhaji Muhydeen Okunola Kayode, in a statement, reaffirmed the Foundation’s mission to uplift rural farmers and transform agriculture into a more productive and profitable venture for all. “We believe in the potential of our farmers. By giving them the right tools and knowledge, we are investing in the future of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.”
As the agricultural campaign continues to expand across various local government areas, the MOK Foundation remains focused on its vision of leaving no farmer behind, bridging development gaps, and driving prosperity through agriculture.
